I have a PC, so no problems with MATLAB compatibility...it was the work in the course that my professor gave that really frustrated me. It's so tedious! :cursing: Hopefully you remember some things for your class.

Alright. So I'm going to attempt to implement this for the single-line matrix on the side of the SD200s. Hopefully I can follow the process here and figure it out.

EDIT: I did cheat, but at least it works!!! Thiago, take a look!

(L.L.Matrix_ChangeCounter) !
{if}
l0 1 (M.V.GetTerminusString) 50 $SetLengthL "@" $+
l0 1 (M.V.GetTerminusString) 33 $SetLengthL "@" $+
l0 0 (M.V.GetTerminusString) 16 $SetLengthL $+ (S.$.Matrix_NewTerminus)
{else}
l0 2 (M.V.GetTerminusString) 50 $SetLengthL "@" $+
l0 2 (M.V.GetTerminusString) 33 $SetLengthL "@" $+
l0 3 (M.V.GetTerminusString) 16 $SetLengthL $+ (S.$.Matrix_NewTerminus)

This code displays the IBIS 1 line on the side then the Side ANNAX line on the side. I GOT IT!!! 8o 8o 8o

Yeah, you're right!

So, new progress, for side, one-line matrix displays, I'll say about 25%-30% of it is good. All I need to figure out now is how to add more lines to display on the side matrix so that it is not just two alternating displays but five or six.

Not sure if you are aware but if it is just normal in the hof
eg

[addterminus]
103
Thalesstr
THALESSTRASSE
THALESSTRASSE
- FERNSEHTURM -
THALESSTRASSE
Gru_Thalesstr.tga
THalesstraße

The matrix goes haywire like this

So all hofs need to be updated with

[16characters]@[16characters]
[16characters]@[16characters]

Or have i missed something

The new script will only support the modified HOF files. The conventional ones need to be 'converted' or adapted to the new format. But as I suppose this is a project for the New York map, .bus files will be provided so it can work with that specific map.

Is there a way to have scrolling text of any length in an IBIS 2.
for example
MARION CTR. VIA WOODCROFT CONN. 722
Scrolling from left to right and back again

Scrolling? I'm not sure. You might have to start a new thread asking that, because that isn't one of my objectives, although it is an interesting feature.

But then again, the IBIS-2 computer will always display the bus stops, it wouldn't always display the terminus.

As far as I know, scrolling is not yet supported by OMSI. It was being worked on for the NG272 I think, but as yet you can't scroll :(

I figured out how to implement this for the Renault!!!

(L.L.Matrix_ChangeCounter) !
{if}
l0 1 (M.V.GetTerminusString) 3003 $SetLengthL "" $+
l0 3 (M.V.GetTerminusString) 0 $SetLengthL $+ (S.$.Matrix_NewTerminus)

l0 2 (M.V.GetTerminusString) 3003 $SetLengthL "" $+
l0 3 (M.V.GetTerminusString) 0 $SetLengthL $+ (S.$.Matrix_NewTerminus)
{endif}

I'm speechless...I can't believe I figured it out...

Did you need to adapt the BUSE-style HOF file for the Renault?!

Just add another series of dots and ones directly under a series of dots and ones in an [addterminus] section.

So normally it would be

[addterminus]

Destination ("Ziel") Code
Bus stop name
IBIS-1 Display
Annax Line 1
Annax Line 2
Side Annax
Rollband File
IBIS-2 Display

In the original Usti.hof file, Annax Line 1 is already used. Use Annax Line 2 using the same template, and it will work perfectly. Make sure you include all of the @ symbols. I used the Image to ASCII program you recommended, got all the dots and ones, put the @ symbols after each line, except the last one, then copied the new dots and ones into a new .hof file (just copied and pasted the Usti.hof file to make a copy then renamed it "Test"). Before the new series of dots and ones, you have to have 11 @ symbols in front of the first dot or one in the new series. Then you have to make sure there is no Enter/Return after the @ symbols so that it is one long line of code. Then go to the top of the .hof file and fine [name], then change the next line to "Test" so that you don't confuse the Depots when loading a bus. Save the .hof file.

I might have forgot something, so let me know if it does not work properly.

About sliding... we know, that text on matrix shown via texttextures. What's about to script sliding effect to these texttextures, like it done in rollband script ? Create 2 same & separate texttextures, and then make it to load up and scroll one-by-one like a rollband textures ? ?(

Julian's bus, the O405N2 actually has some of what I'm looking for. The Renault has some as well. I just need to incorporate some of what is here and then it'll be perfect, or almost perfect.

That screen changing for the Renault looks very interesting. I was thinking of using a similar method to the Renault on my bus, and would be used as an LED system that changes from one part to anther on side matrixes. Good work man! :)

For my bus with one line

I'm using this:

Source code

1
{if} l0 1 (M.V.GetTerminusString) 33 $SetLengthL (S.$.Matrix_NewTerminus) {else} l0 2 (M.V.GetTerminusString) 33 $SetLengthL (S.$.Matrix_NewTerminus)

It is for busses with one line matrix. If you want to use annax_side text, use l0 3 instead of 1 or 2.

l0 1 = text from annax 1
l0 2 = text from annax 2
l0 3 = text from annax side

I'm making my first bus ever in 3D =) See more and download a preview:http://www.omsi.com.br/quadbus/

Okay after about six hours of failed attempts of my own, I tried using the scripts you provided. I had the exact same issue every time.

I didn't take any screenshots but basically what happens is this:
(assume that lines are the boundaries of the display)

GRUNDORF WEST
76 to KRANKENHAUS
HA

I'm using the matrix script provided by Thiago but it doesn't work, even when I added his "Krummelstrasse" terminus. This is literally my script:

[addterminus]
176
Krankenhaus 76
KRANKENHAUS
GRUNDORF WEST @ ROUTE 76
to KRANKENHAUS @HAVE A NICE DAY
76 KRANKENHAUS

Krankenhaus
....................
................

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?!

Hmm...not sure. If what you have for your [addterminus] is exactly what you copied here, it could be that you don't have 16 characters. The characters include spaces.
So it should be, for example:

1234567890------@ (hyphens represent spaces)

and not

1234567890@

Try that.
