absolute lack of professionalism from Aerosoft and major problem with activation

Hello,

Its now the 5th day since i`ve paid for OMSI and i`m still unable to start the game. I bought it from Aerosoft, first it took them 3 days to actually deliver the game (i went for downloadable version) after my connection broke during yhe payment which they received without delay. So been able to download it and install it but i can`t activate it,any time i`m using Aerosoft Launcher i get this massage (need to tell you that i am doing everything to the book so run it as admin, and have all the frameworks required and also using serial key provided and my e-mail address which i used to register in store)

that`s what i get all the time

i have requested offline registration 2 days ago and still didn`t get any answer what so ever, i am not alone reading posts on aerosoft forum we are experiencing various difficulties in getting what we paid for, but most importantly what we are actually cant wait to try, but again we can`t because of Aerosoft`s lack of professionalism. I would like to know if possible if anyone of you had the same problem ? and what is possible solution ? and also i`m wondering if you are buying boxed edition instead do you still have to activate the game via Aerosoft ?

thank you very much for reading this and thank you in advance for any replies

kind regards

jordix

Unfortunately, we can do nothing about the serial/registration process. You have to send an e-mail to Aerosoft support:

support@aerosoft.com

Describe the problem the best way you can (include the error ID as well). It takes from a few hours to a few days for them to respond - I don't think they respond at weekends. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Best of luck to you,

Maybe there is a letter missing ? I heard about before and the solution was a lost letter ;-)

I am having a similar problem. When I purchased the game, I got a good response to this error. My computer was too old and driving was a real challenge with many maps not drivable. I have just acquired a newer computer and I am attempting to load the game and I get the same error message. (Undefined error!: Err Id(0)) It has now been 2 days with no response and I am unable to see if the programme will work on the new computer. The game is advertised as being able to be activated up to 3 times. Clearly this advertising is wrong, as it doesn't. Is there anyway to activate without having to go through Aerosoft? The software is good, shame about the support.
Again I ask - is there a work around this problem with Aerosoft?

As far as I know you must go through the activation process. As for a work-around: who knows what you can find on the 'dark side' of the internet - that's up to you. Obviously we can't help you with that on this forum as it is -of course- illegal.

The only thing you can do is to is to contact Aerosoft again and ask what their progress is on your support-request. You probably received a support 'ticket' with a request-number. Use this as reference to your original request.

Kind regards,

Harry

I suppose you're already done that but, anyway, are you writing something like "Serial Activation" in the e-mail subject? They usually check for e-mail subjects first. A previous experience I noticed from some people also having problems with it in order to activate was to write a new e-mail with the subject like "Serial Activation (awaiting for 5 days)", and most of them were replied almost immediately (within the Business time). That might be a coincidence, but I suggest that you try it in case you haven't yet.

Good luck!

Thank you for your advice. I will consider that if I have too many more days without omsi.

On day 3 I have received a reply asking who I purchased from (Aerosoft) and my correct email address when I purchased (the same one I sent the support request on and is included in the support request). It appears they have no proper records of who they have sold to - very worrying. I suspect they just wanted the money.

Work arounds are useful where the support is not very efficient, as I am experiencing, however, I find it insulting for someone to suggest I am looking to do something illegal.

It would be interesting to find out why the designers chose to use Aerosoft and not a better distributor.

...I find it insulting for someone to suggest I am looking to do something illegal.

I am very sorry if you feel insulted, as that was absolutely not my intention: I am NOT saying that you are looking to do something illegal. What I was trying to say is that when we openly help you with a work around, it might help others who are looking to crack Omsi. And we can't make any suggestions on how to work-around the activation here on the manufacturer's forum. That would be like trying to steal some eggs from the eagle's nest :D .

Ok, let's continue brainstorming on your problem at hand...
As you are writing, they didn't have proper records of you. This might have something to do with the broken connection, which occurred during payment, hence it would take so long for them to react. Try to give Aerosoft as much details possible. Maybe details about your payment from your bank would help. I have had a similar problem once when purchasing an addon for Fligh Simulator. Ultimately, when I profided them with loads of info the vendor could sort things out and they delivered the product.

Now I am not trying to defend Aerosoft, but you can't say Aerosoft it worthless, just because it wents wrong. Faults and mistakes happen, everywhere.

I am just trying to help you fixing it the right way. Of course I can't see what you already did and what you didn't try yet, so forgive me if my advice is not useful to you. I sincerely hope that you can start to enjoy Omsi very soon.

Kind regards,

Harry

Yes you still go through Aerosoft.. with the boxed too. And can happen to get the error after reinstalling the PC. You have to wait for the aerosoft support. The 1st time took 3/4 days the other times just 1 day. Good luck!
