This is getting annoying now...

Hello.

Every time I start driving in OMSI V1.01 I get a ton of lag, then the game is smooth for a bit and then it freezes for a bit. The process repeats itself and it's really frustrating especially when I'm in the middle of a long route.

My system specs:

-AMD Phenom 9500 quad core 2.2GHz CPU
-ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 GPU (OC to 900/1300)
-3GB DDR2 667 RAM (previously 4GB before the lag started (1 of my RAM sticks was faulty and my PC would get BSoD's often))
-HP M2N68-LA Narra 3 Mobo (I've done some CPU overclocking on this, yes I know it's wrong and I payed for it (endless BSoD's) xD)
-Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Can anyone spot the bottleneck out? And recently I've experienced a sudden performance drop from my graphics card. I think it's to do with the power supply (300W 3rd party PSU) but I can't be too sure as I have taken the power off of the exhaust fan and DVD RW out to leave some headroom for the GPU and I did stress tests on it to confirm that it worked.

Thanks.

I see that you have reduced ram by 1GB. Have you made sure to reduce graphic settings? You have lower ram than before so your computer won't be able to take as much as it used to. Thats all I can think of, if it doesn't work then ill let someone else give a suggestion. - Joel 8)

We're running practically the same systems, and I struggle to keep it steady, on most maps I'll get 10fps for a while then a drop, to 5fps, I recommend a complete fix of your computer + a little updating, and if that does not work, keep to the Minimum settings and generally don't fiddle with them. But take the lag 'spikes' as they come, when the lag comes F3 is the best option, but there a few maps where lag is never a issues.

Hope I have been of assistance.

One question do you get the TDR (Timeout detection Recovery) Using ATi with OMSI, i've been looking for a straight forward yes or no answer from people but that's hard to find these days. Because it's a known Nvidia problem in Windows past XP. Which is the black screen, and all the textures recover issue?

Please yes or no!
Happy to know my way around Blender!

Nope, it's just horrible FPS drops and short freezes where the textures seem to reset themselves. It happens quite frequently. I realised that by overclocking my GPU slightly (900/1300) and putting the settings @ PC of 2011 I managed to get around 22FPS, it never drops below 11 now (sometimes goes down all the way to 8FPS on the Project Szczecin map) but it's still on the edge of what PC gamers call 'playable'.
